How much needs to be said about this Roncesvalles institution? Everybody knows it: it's a great place for a casual meal. Aris is a real family business, and we feel like a part of the family when we're there. There's something wonderful about having breakfast made for you, especially "the morning after." Coffee, eggs and toast arrive and suddenly a hangover is tolerable. Dirty dishes dissappear, more coffee shows up. These small miracles are priceless. But, at Aris, it will cost you a mere $5. It is hard getting a seat Saturday or Sunday morning - before 9:00 is your best bet. 

Recently the Aris staff successfully petitioned the Toronto Archives to display historic photos of the area. Below are a couple examples (admittedly, these are bad photos.) Be sure to drop by and see them all.
