The body of a man in his 50s was discovered near Ronces and Boustead on Sunday April 4th.  A woman in her 50s was found dead in an apartment in the same area on April 6th and police are investigating this as a suspicious death.

The Polish Festival is in full swing with perfect fall weather. This is the only chance you get to walk down the gentle slope of Roncesvalles to where it drops into the lake beyond a sea of people - until next year.

And just a couple of days ago the street was a busy construction site - and will be again after the festival. I'm sure a lot had to come together to temporarily suspend construction. A boon to the economy of the street which is taking it on the chin due to reduced traffic (car, streetcar and pedestrian) during construction.

Ontario and Bangladesh are both investing in diesel trains. Everybody else uses electric trains, because they are a lot cleaner and quieter. So, Ontario will look pretty silly on the international stage. But it is our neighbourhoods that will be injured by the additional pollution that comes with diesel trains. The benefits of improved regional public transit benefit commuters, who don't live in Toronto.
